The current second-generation 2024 Mazda CX-5 continues with the substantial updates made for the 2022 model year. Updates saw the CX-5 receive a redesign and refresh to the interior and exterior, with changes to the front and rear design. A major upgrade was to equip all CX-5 models with standard all-wheel drive.

The interior of the 2024 Mazda CX-5 features a contemporary layout and use of materials that are decidedly upmarket.
Interior design includes the likes of a multifunction steering wheel, a smooth dashboard design with integrated air vents, analog instrument dials, a focused center console, and a conventional gated gear selector.
Synthetic leather upholstery is used on base model seats, with the rest of the trim levels finished in leather. This leather fitment extends to the steering wheel and gear selector across all trims.
Driver ergonomics are well considered by Mazda's design team, and the stylish, well-crafted steering wheel sits directly in front of the driver for complete driver control and comfort. Small details abound, like the front-seat armrests that are all at the same height for optimal comfort.
The CX-5 was, from the outset, designed to comfortably and conveniently fit your family's outdoor gear and equipment. Cargo space of 30.8 cubic feet is available when all seats are in place. Dropping down the second row of seats creates up to 59.3 cubic feet of cargo moving space aided by the completely flat load floor.
The 2024 Mazda CX-5 features a rear power liftgate with an opening that sits flush with the floor, allowing for easy loading of heavy items without the strain of hoisting items up and over a sill.

Both engines use a six-speed, 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission coupled with the i-ACTIV AWD drivetrain with standard center limited-slip differential.
Strong acceleration and performance are provided, with the base model returning a 0 to 60 MPH time of 8.4 seconds while the turbo engine completes the same acceleration test in 6.2 seconds.

2.5 S Carbon Edition
Fans of Mazda's Polymetal Gray paint will appreciate the CX-5 Carbon Edition priced at $31,100 MSRP. This trim features the much-loved gray paint color, black or red leather upholstery, 19-inch alloy rims, gloss black interior accents, a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system, and dual USB-C charge ports.
2.5 S Premium
Moving up the range, the 2024 Mazda CX-5 2.5 S Premium starts at $33,000 MSRP. At this price point, buyers get the Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) system featuring normal, off-road, and sport-driving modes.
Other luxuries include custom 19-inch alloy rims, adaptive front lighting, heated side mirrors, paddle shifters, a seven-inch LCD meter display, and the front LED daytime running lights.
2.5 S Premium Plus
Starting at $35,500, the CX-5 2.5 S Premium Plus adds to an already impressive list of features: a full-color heads-up-display (HUD), a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, power-folding wing mirrors, plus a windshield wiper de-icer.
The Premium Plus for 2024 gets wireless smartphone connectivity and wireless smartphone charging.
2.5 Carbon Turbo
Available at $37,000 MSRP, this model is fitted with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine. The interior features terracotta leather seats and a stylish black headliner.
Moving to the exterior, a Zircon Sand Metallic or Rhodium White paint with black exterior accents is available and sees fitment of bespoke 19-inch black metallic alloy wheels.
2.5 Turbo Premium
At $37,800 MSRP, the Turbo Premium receives all the features of the 2.5 S Premium and adds contrasting red interior stitching, an active driving display, traffic jam assist and, on the outside, a gloss black front grille.
2.5 Turbo Signature
The 2024 Mazda CX-5 Turbo Signature is at the top of the range with a starting price of $39,650 MSRP. This top trim level features a luxury cabin complete with Nappa leather seats, genuine woodgrain interior trim, ambient foot illumination, and LED interior lighting.
Driver convenience includes standard navigation, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 360-degree monitor, and parking sensors for the front and rear.
Exterior treatment includes silver 19-inch alloy wheels and a gunmetal front grille.
